Any scripting language to come?
Dear VariCAD guys,

First of all, congratulations for your work.

Second, many CAD packages have a scripting language in order to give to users more customizing freedom.

Is there any scripting language in VariCAD? If you have any plans to include a scripting language, I would suggest Python.

I would also vote for Python. But ANY scripting capability would be great.

I sometimes have a need to mathematically generate a complex surface. I am considering pythonOCC for this and then just importing the STEP file. This might be an alternative to a scripting language.

I have the feeling that introducing a scripting language is not a primary goal for the development team. In order to encourage them a bit:
involving outsider people (i.e. the users) into a software is a very powerful way to make them addict to this software, and this would also extremely increase the functionality of the software, shifting the lot of work from the developers to the users. For obvious reasons, the developers do not want to make the source code available, but the introduction of a scripting language would open the possibility to user contribution, and make a user community by sharing scripts, etc.
