Hi I am trying to build the structural model of a Hull in varicad... so far i have been able to model the girders and the ribs to which the Deck plates and hull shells are fixed... Modelling the deck plates ( plane geometry with curved boundaries ) is not difficult... but is it possible to model the hull shells in variCad...? I was thinking of modelling the hull as a collection of rectangular lofted prisms of a section of the hull shell, translading and rotating the base section to get an end section, but i get the message that "sections are different"... Is there any better approach for me to model a ship's hull in VariCad ? BRGDS Alex |
