This has not drawn too much attention... I really do not understand why parameters can not be used for positions, which would make life really so easy. |

Hi, A very warm welcome to the new feature of parametric solids, and the possibility to use mathematical expressions, containing parameters, in the dimensions of objects. Really great! However, I can not use parameters as the *position* of objects: if I position an object to 'Snap to X Y Z coordinates', and give a parameter L1 as the X coordinate, I get an error message: X coordinate, incorrectly used parameter L1. Why is this so? If it was possible, I could create geometrical constraints between two solids (not in the same boolean tree), by an appropriate choice of parameters, and position/dimension of these solids defined in terms of these parameters. |

Hi Daniel, It can be expected in the next major release of VariCAD later this year. Marek |
